Education & Workshop
This workshop is designed for Pilates teachers who want to deepen their understanding of advanced Reformer work beyond simply learning harder exercises. We will explore what makes an exercise advanced, including strength, skill, coordination, body-to-equipment relationships, and intelligent progressions. Teachers will learn how to break down advanced traditional exercises, create purposeful variations, and build programming that challenges clients safely, creatively, and effectively.
Date: Friday, November 20th noon-4pm
Location: Sevilla Bodyworks 1801 W. Broadway Ave. Spokane, WA 99201
The feet are the foundation of everything we do—but they are often overlooked in Pilates programming. In this 4 hour practical workshop, we’ll explore how foot mobility, strength, and alignment influence the knees, hips, and the rest of the body. You’ll learn simple assessment tools, hands-on exercises, and creative ways to use the Pilates equipment to help clients build stronger, more responsive feet and move with greater ease from the ground up.

Teaching From the Inside Out is a five-month, online cohort-based mentorship for newly certified and early-career Pilates teachers who want to move beyond memorizing exercises and develop depth, confidence, and clarity in their teaching.
The small group meets live on Zoom once a month for five months. Each session focuses on observation, intelligent cueing, thoughtful program design, professional identity, and practical integration. Teachers are supported as they develop their own voice, strengthen their decision-making skills, and build a sustainable approach to real-world teaching.
Offered twice per year, the next mentorship begins Wednesday, September 16 at 3:00 p.m. Pacific Time.

Healthy Shoulders, Stronger Movement
Practical Pilates Strategies for the Thoracic Spine, Shoulder, and Neck Chain.
The shoulders don’t move in isolation. Healthy arm movement depends on the relationship between the thoracic spine, rib cage, shoulder blades, and neck.
In this practical workshop for Pilates instructors, you’ll learn how to observe common patterns such as limited thoracic mobility, neck tension, uneven shoulder organization, and compensations during arm movement.
We’ll explore functional anatomy, movement assessment, and familiar Pilates exercises on the mat and apparatus. You’ll leave with practical strategies for improving your clients’ upper-body awareness, mobility, stability, and coordination—without over-correcting or forcing one “ideal” position.
